Collecting Cambrian Trilobites at Marjum Pass, UT
This area has been collected for many years,
but there will always be lots of rock to look over. Our primary
objective was to find Hemirhodon amplipyge trilobites, but
we also found a few carpoids, Casterocystis vali, and other
trilobites, mostly Modocia levanucha. We didn't have a very
productive trip, but that is the way it goes sometime you find lots
and sometimes you get skunked. But one thing that we do know is
that you won't find anything unless you go looking for something.

It had snowed the week before, so there was still a bit of the
white stuff on the ground, but it was a beautiful day.

| This was the most encouraging thing that
we found. It is a Hemirhodon amplipyge. We were just getting
ready to go when we picked this up. So we worked a couple more hours
trying to fond others, unfortunately we didn't find any. |
