Collecting Fossil Leaves and Ferns from the Pennsylvanian Manning Canyon Formation


Some Pennsylvanian fossils from the Manning Canyon Formation. We have been collecting this material for the past few weeks. This is a very small sampling of what we have collected. I wanted to get these images up so there isn't much information yet, but I will put some more thought into it later.

 

The last two pictures are of a strange plant thing that I found. It is at a University now, but if you have some ideas on what it is, please let me know.
